It was an early May day in 1991 that three Claire families took possession of their camp on Sunset Lake. We were, at that time, six adults excited to initiate a new generation to the joys of summers spent doing all the activities traditionally experienced by families on lakes everywhere.
And arrive they did: a grandson in ’91, a granddaughter in ’92, another grandson in ’93, followed by twin grandsons three years later. Then the camp rocked! Alas, don’t those little ones have a way of growing up. No. 1 grandson is heading for college in the fall, followed by… well, you get the picture. Life happens, things change, and those three Claire families are taking some wonderful memories with them as they all go on to other things and places. At the appropriate time, perhaps before too long, they may all be bidding adieu to fun times and good friends at Sunset Lake.
